Eat: Coming Back to Real Food

We Are What We Eat

At 360 Health Labs, we believe you are Designed to Heal — and one of the most powerful places to begin is with what you eat.

We’re not here to tell you exactly what to eat. That would go against everything we stand for. Instead, we want to help you reconnect with real food — the kind your body recognizes and knows how to use.

What “Eat Real Food” Actually Means

Real food is simply food that hasn’t been highly processed or engineered in a factory. It’s the food that existed long before clever marketing and long ingredient lists.

Think:

  • Meat, fish, eggs, and organ meats
  • Vegetables and fruits
  • Nuts, seeds, and healthy fats
  • Herbs, spices, and good oils

These foods carry the information your body needs to function well. They don’t come with long lists of additives, preservatives, or mystery ingredients.

The Modern Challenge

Most of what fills grocery store shelves today is not the same food our grandparents ate. Many products now contain ingredients that didn’t exist 50–100 years ago — created for shelf life, taste, and profit rather than nourishment.

Common examples include:

  • Seed oils (canola, soybean, sunflower, corn)
  • Ultra-processed grains and sugars
  • Additives and preservatives most people can’t pronounce

These foods often trigger inflammation, blood sugar swings, and constant hunger — making it feel like something is “wrong” with your willpower when the real issue is the food itself.

A Common-Sense Approach to Eating

You don’t need to be perfect. You need to be intentional.

Here are practical ways to move toward real food:

  • Prioritize protein — Muscle is the organ of longevity. Aim to include a good source of protein in most meals.
  • Choose better fats — Favor olive oil, avocado oil, butter, tallow, or coconut oil over industrial seed oils.
  • Read labels wisely — If you can’t recognize most ingredients, it’s probably not “real food.”
  • Start simple — Replace one processed item this week with something closer to its natural form.
  • Make decent food fast — Pre-cook proteins, keep washed vegetables ready, and learn a few go-to meals you actually enjoy.

Remember: You make your decisions, and you own your results. There is no one perfect diet — only what works for your body, your life, and your goals.

Small Steps Create Big Change

When you consistently choose real food, your energy, mood, digestion, and body composition often improve naturally — without obsessive tracking or rigid rules.

This is exactly why we built our Monthly Labs. Each month we walk with you through practical, doable improvements in the Eat pillar (and the others) — one step at a time.
